It was one of the happiest times in Kiyune’s entire life. The landscape spread out before in a never ending carpet of flowers, and even if there was no water to be seen, just so many flowers, so much color, so much life and energy, made her happy just to be a part of it. Around and around she spun, letting the joy flow through her entire being. And then Rain was beside her, and the two of them through flowers at one another, and in the afternoon sun it looked like gold that they were throwing. As they played, Kiyune sensed another force, but never once did she think it was anything but friendly. She ran into Mesiyeru’s open arms, Rain following close behind, but staying far enough back that Kiyune had a moment with Mesiyeru to herself. There the water witch and the necromancer kissed.
The instant their lips touched, everything around them went dark. Rain disappeared without a sound, but Kiyune instantly felt her absence. And as Kiyune turned to call for the girl, Mesiyeru disappeared from beneath her fingers. She turned and she was alone.
