2 (who?)

Five years ago my life, my world, changed.
Has it really been that long
Since their screams filled the air?
Have five long years really passed
Since lives were snuffed out,
Some in an instant of unbelieving horror
Others in an agonizing torture
Of waiting and hoping for help not to come

Wounds so old seem so fresh
What those people did
I donít understand why
I cannot comprehend
Its just too hard
I ask myself time and again
What has happened to us?
All I know is that we have fallen.

We have fallen
Will we ever be able to right ourselves?
Five years ago today.

We will always remember Sept. 11, 2001.

I was in art class...someone came to the door with a message for the teacher but she wasn't allowed to tell us. You could tell something had gone wrong though... Apparently I wasn't actually supposed to go to my afternoon class that day. My science class was at another school and they didn't really want us to go, but no one told us so we went anyway. We ended up spending that whole class period on the computers watching the news sites....

I saw it as it was happening. They had one picture up on MSN. I thought it was a movie, and so moved on to what I was supposed to be doing.

Its because you're in a different country, dear. If you were here in America, it would have had a much more profound affect on you. It was litterally the ripping away of all our feelings of safety and security.
that may be...
